“Green coffee is not a new kind of coffee, it is coffee beans that have not been roasted,” said German nutritionist Antje Gal. “Green coffee has a little caffeine compared to roasted coffee, but it helps to be alert and attentive,” she said. “It is superior to roasted coffee in terms of active ingredients, which are not lost by roasting, such as chlorogenic acid.
Chlorogenic acid is an antioxidant, so it strengthens the immune system and helps to lose weight and enjoy fitness.
The German expert pointed out that chlorogenic acid may cause irritation of the stomach and intestines causing nausea, so the owners of sensitive stomach should be careful when drinking green coffee.
