The study, conducted at James Cook University in Australia, showed that eating omega-3 fatty acids from marine sources reduces asthma symptoms by as much as 62 percent, while omega-6 fats help reduce the risk of asthma attacks by 67 percent.
Asthma affects 334 million people around the world, and a quarter of a million people die each year.
According to the study, published in the International Journal of Environmental Research, fish oil and seafood provide the quality of fat that helps reduce the incidence of asthma symptoms.
